Protect Our Exemptions
Protect Our Vaccine Exemptions
OUR BODIES, OUR CHOICE
The Minnesota Legislature has safeguarded vaccine exemption rights since 1978.
[Minn. Stat. 121A.15, Subd. 3]
Minnesota Law also protects citizens from coerced or forced medical treatments:
“…individuals have a fundamental right to refuse medical treatment, testing, physical or mental examination, vaccination, participation in experimental procedures and protocols, collection of specimens, and preventive treatment programs.”
[Minn. Stat. 12.39, Subd. 1]
The 1947 Nuremberg Code and 2005 UNESCO Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights codified all people’s rights to bodily autonomy and informed consent to medical procedures.
Despite advertising claims, vaccines often fail — causing side effects, disabilities, and deaths.
- The MMR vaccine package insert lists adverse reactions including encephalitis, encephalopathy, Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), transverse myelitis, febrile convulsions, afebrile convulsions or seizures, ataxia, polyneuropathy, ocular palsies, etc.
- Children given the varicella (chickenpox) vaccine can acquire the disease and pass it on to others.
- DTaP vaccines do not offer long-lasting protection against pertussis.
- Measles: Nearly 50% of vaccinated U.S. schoolchildren can become infected with and spread it.
- Vaccinating children every year for the flu might make them more vulnerable to pandemic strains of the flu in the future.
- Vaccine-derived polioviruses are implicated in several polio outbreaks.
- Onset of autoimmune conditions has been observed 2 to 3 months following certain vaccines.
- The incidence of myocarditis/pericarditis increases among adolescents after the COVID-19 vaccine.
- Early exposure to thimerosal is associated with tics in boys.
- American children have never been sicker: over half (54%) now suffer at least one chronic health disorder.
Vaccine injuries are “monitored” by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control via its faulty, ineffective and under reported Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS):
- Between Dec. 14, 2020, and Sept. 15, 2023, 1,593,415 reports of adverse events were reported to VAERS following COVID-19 vaccination, including 36,231 reports of deaths and 304,634 serious injuries.
- VAERS is estimated to represent only 1% to 10% of actual adverse events.
- A 2010 HHS Harvard Pilgrim study reported one vaccine injury for every 39 vaccines.
- More than 15,128 VAERS reports of myocarditis were recently removed by the CDC; 1,023 death reports were deleted.
- 28% of adults reported knowing someone whose death may have been caused by side effects of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, according to a recent US survey.
Vaccines are “regulated” by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, just like pharmaceutical drugs (e.g. Vioxx) – with similar questionable effects on consumers’ health.
In a 2011 Supreme Court vaccine injury case, Justices Sotomayor and Ginsburg warned of:
“…a regulatory vacuum in which no one — neither the FDA nor any other federal agency, nor state and federal juries — ensures that vaccine manufacturers adequately take account of scientific and technological advancements… The vaccine market will often have little or no incentive to improve the designs of vaccines that are already generating significant profit margins.”
In 1986, the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act set up a faulty compensation program funded by a tax on each vaccine sold; vaccine manufacturers cannot be sued for damages.
“No vaccine manufacturer shall be liable in a civil action for damages arising from a vaccine-related injury….” [42 U.S.C.A. § 300aa-22(1)]
It is the parents’ right and responsibility to research and choose their child’s health care.
State Legislatures bear the responsibility to preserve Minnesotans’ health care choices.
PROTECT OUR HEALTH CARE CHOICES
Children’s Health Defense Minnesota OPPOSES any attempt to remove our long-standing vaccine exemptions, which would take away our right to make educated and faith-based health decisions for ourselves and our families.
